About Me.

“Hello, I’m Charlie (he/him), a BACP Registered Counsellor and UKCP Trainee Psychotherapist.”

I became interested in working in this field through experiences with my own mental health. Counselling and Psychotherapy gave me a space to understand what I was going through, feel understood by another and rediscover the freedom that exists in the present to make changes in my life.

I explored different ways I could work in mental health to find the path that I was most passionate about. During this time, I did further study, worked in healthcare recruitment, and worked for an employee assistance programme.

In 2020 I then decided to begin a rigorous training in psychotherapy. Since then, I worked for a national charity that supports adult survivors of childhood abuse by providing emotional support over the phone and I volunteered at a low-cost therapy clinic as part of my clinical placement providing fixed-term psychotherapy.

In 2024 I graduated with a Diploma in Transactional Analysis - from an Integrative Perspective, and am currently working towards accreditation with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
